Vanessa's experience encompasses a specialization in all facets of the clinical trials process as well as experience in intellectual property, corporate and regulatory law. At LSL, she routinely assists biopharmaceutical clients in drafting, negotiating and management of an extensive array of agreements required throughout the clinical trial lifecycle, including clinical trial agreements, investigator led study agreements, post marketing agreements, consulting agreements, steering committee and data monitoring agreements and confidentiality agreements as well as CRO, lab services, statistics, data capture and other outsider service provider agreements involved in the clinical trials process.
Vanessa also assists clients with agreements attendant to research and development and preclinical activities as well as intellectual property licensing agreements, general business and consulting agreements, material transfer agreements and strategic alliance and co-development agreements. Additionally, she works with clients to develop regulatory and general corporate best practices and offers clients her experience in trademark selection and prosecution.
Prior to joining LSL, Vanessa was an associate with a well respected regulatory firm in Washington, D.C. Previous experience also includes work in patent and complex commercial litigation and as a Technology Transfer Associate at a flagship land grant university.
Vanessa received her Juris Doctorate from Louisiana State University and holds a Master of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, with specialization in Biotechnology, from Georgetown University Medical Center. She is a Registered Patent Attorney before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and is admitted to the North Carolina Bar, District of Columbia Bar and the Louisiana Bar.
