Robb Giddings, having worked in academia, government, industry, and law, brings a variety of scientific knowledge and legal skills to Life Sciences Law. He holds a B.S. in Analytical Chemistry, with a focus in Biochemistry, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Prior to attending law school, Robb conducted neurotoxicology research at the University of North Carolina, evaluating modulation of the dopamine system by alcohol and other addictive drugs; performed toxicology screening at the Environmental Protection Agency to determine safe human exposure standards for volatile organic solvents; and designed bioavailability and impurity assays for developmental drugs at a Fortune-150 pharmaceutical company.
Robb earned his J.D. cum laude from Duke University School of Law, during which time he also studied business strategy at Duke's Fuqua School of Business. While at Duke, Robb focused his studies on Intellectual Property -- copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and intellectual capital management and strategy. In addition, Robb served as Editor-in-Chief of the Duke Journal of Constitutional Law & Public Policy, competed as part of Duke's Moot Court Team, and led three law school organizations. Robb honed his litigation skills and transactional knowledge as an intern at White & Case in New York City, and joins LSL as a native of North Carolina and member of the North Carolina Bar.
