Life Sciences Law is seeking to hire a full time, experienced Executive Assistant.

The position will focus on providing administrative support to the firm’s Managing Member. Tasks will include scheduling, interfacing with clients, preparing presentations, word processing and documents filing and organization.

Applicants must have a Bachelor's Degree with experience in an administrative capacity (3 years minimum), and be familiar with all aspects of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Candidates must be well organized, outgoing, able to multi-task, manage time efficiently and work well under pressure.

Life Sciences Law is seeking to expand its vibrant legal practice through the addition of one or more experienced associates in NC and a new office in Boston, MA. Despite the downturn in the legal market, our practice has greatly expanded over the past two years. We represent emerging growth companies and entrepreneurs as well as mature businesses (including some of the world's largest pharmaceutical companies) on a wide range of topics, including formation of start-ups, university spin-outs, venture capital/private financing, joint ventures and strategic alliances, mergers and acquisitions, and other corporate matters. We also structure complex domestic and international licensing, distribution, development, and manufacturing agreements. By assisting our clients with the development and commercialization of innovative products in the areas of pharmaceuticals and biotechnology, we are dedicated to making the world a healthier place to live.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years recent experience with a large established corporate law firm representing life sciences companies in the following areas:

• strategic collaborations;
• research and development agreements;
• manufacturing agreements;
• licensing agreements;
• life sciences related M&A;
• intellectual property protections;
• clinical trials agreements;
• technology and other business transactions; and
• securities knowledge a plus.

We also require:

• JD with demonstrated achievement from a top tier law school and member of at least one state bar (North Carolina preferred, but not necessary).
• Bachelor's in a life sciences or a business field.
• Knowledge of FDA regulations, intellectual property laws, privacy laws, product liability issues and USPTO a plus.
• Sound judgment, interpersonal skills, flexibility and leadership abilities are a must.
