Life Sciences Law, PLLC is proud to announce the next event in its Clinical Trial Lunch Series (CTLS). The event will take place on Thursday, January 18, 2007 from 11:30-1:30 PM at the Hamner Conference Center at the North Carolina Biotechnology Center (map).

Join us for presentations by local experts Scott A. Oglesby, Ph.D., head of the Clinical Expert Consulting Group at Beckloff Associates (a Cardinal Health Company) and Eric W. Harris, Ph.D., R.A.C., Senior Scientist, Associate Director of Integrated Drug Development, Cato Research. The discussion will include basics on the Orphan Drug Act as well as the benefits of receiving Orphan Drug Designation and key regulatory issues to be addressed in a successful application to FDA. As usual, we will also have a roundtable session featuring interactive discussion where you can share your experiences and get feedback from our speakers and others in the community.

Life Sciences Law, PLLC, in conjunction with the North Carolina Biotechnology Center, conducts the Clinical Trials Lunch Series (CTLS) symposiums addressing emerging issues in clinical trials. Some of the past topics addressed by the symposium include a discussion of Ethical Considerations in the Conduct of Clinical Trials, the European Union Clinical Trial Directive (presented by Chiltren), Contracting with Academic Institutions (presented by Duke University and the University of North Carolina), and Clinical Trials, Trials and Tribulations: A Roundtable Discussion of Critical Issues in Clinical Trials Agreements, as well as an expanded event on Conducting Clinical Trials in Canada co-hosted with the Canadian Consulate.
